ROLEX DAYTONA REFERENCE 116520 "LEMON Steel chronograph wristwatch, yellow dial, silver applique hour markers with luminescent material, small seconds at six o'clock, 30-minute chronograph totalizer at three o'clock and 12-hour totalizer at nine o'clock, silver hands. Fixed steel tachometric bezel. Steel caseback, inside signed ROLEX, reference 2100. Case reference 116520 and numbered Y853*** between the lugs. Mechanical self-winding chronograph movement signed Rolex calibre 4130, numbered. Steel Oyster bracelet reference 78490, code AD6. Watch and chronograph functional at time of appraisal, without guarantee of future operation or condition of parts. Watch in near mint condition, green sticker still present on caseback, stickers on caseband and pushpiece partially present. Accompanied by its original Rolex box, its Rolex overbox with sticker 116520, its official punched chronometer certificate attesting to a sale in Porto, its Daytona manual, its 2003/2004 calendar and its signed Rolex TAG. Circa 2010 Diameter 40 mm Some Rolex Daytona reference 116520 with white dial from the early 2000s (from 2000 to 2003 approx.) have seen their color deteriorate after a few years and more or less strong UV exposure, resulting in a color variation from white to light cream to a deeper lemon yellow, like our very rare example which, in addition to this particularity, presents a Full Set and near-new stock condition, still with its original stickers. These deteriorations are often due to the fact that Rolex introduced new techniques or varnishes without controlling their future appearance!
