CHINA, Qing Dynasty Rare and large clock in carved shenxiangmu and hongmu wood Taking the form of a tiered pagoda, the lower part housing a British clock (circa 1880/1900) and surrounded by four columns, the upper part supported by a balustraded terrace and enclosing a room opening onto two latticed doors on each side. The whole is topped by a two-tiered roof, featuring a light relief carving of clouds in the shape of lingzhi mushrooms. Height: 120 cm Width: 78.5 cm Depth: 55.5 cm
