[FRANC-MAÇONNERIE] Masonic Manual of the Tiler of all the rites of Masonry practiced in France; In which we find the Etymology and Interpretation of the Words and Mysterious Names of all the Grades that make up the different Rites; Preceded by an abstract of the Rules of Pronunciation of the Hebrew Language from which almost all the words are borrowed and followed by the lunar calendar of the Hebrews, for the use of Masonic Institutions. With 32 plates; by a Veteran of Masonry. Paris, Hubert et Brun ,1820, in-8 (21x17,5 cm), frontispiece +VIII+455 p.+errata+31 plates. Bound in full black leather, spine decorated with title (defects: tears and lacks, cracked jaws, rubbed caps). The 1st and 4th boards are cold-stamped in their center with a motif representing a Templar cross. A complete copy of the 32 plates in hors texte including a symbolic frontispiece. 31 plates of numbered engravings follow at the end of the volume, they represent the tracings of the lodges, the symbols and jewels, the cubic stone, the layout of the camp of the sublime Princes of the Royal Secret, the Masonic Alphabets, the Hieroglyphic Signs. Accident on the 1st plate detached from the spine with two small tears at the height of the central motif. Interior in very good condition. Rare copy of the Tuileur de VUILLAUME, Claude André presented here in its first edition.
