MANUSCRIPT [ARCHAEOLOGY IN BÉZIERS] Lapidary Museum-General overview of the history of Béziers.1910-1911 School notebook (22,5 x 17 cm) of 107 p.in-4 written in ink, study intended for a publication enriched with 68 photographs in and out of text of archaeological pieces some by the studio Tarniquet glued on Japanese paper boards. (Various formats 17,5 x 12 cm to 25,5 x 19 cm). In his preface, the author pays tribute to Mrs. Sabatier, Durand and Noguier who were responsible for the foundation of the museum installed in the cloister of the church of St Nazaire in 1866. This study is devoted to the origins of Béziers, the Celtiberian period, the Roman period, the foundation of the Lapidary Museum, the Vicomte and Royal period. Each of these parts is documented with photographs of milestones, altars, funerary inscriptions, remains of Roman buildings, Christian sarcophagi, Jewish inscriptions, monuments built from the 8th to the 16th century...
