Duchêne Catherine
Born in 1982 in Paris, Catherine Duchêne lives and works in Avignon. She was a pupil of the expressionist painter Jean-Yves Guionet, graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Versailles and is a professor of painting.
In keeping with a contemporary expressionist approach, her work focuses on a feminine, but not feminist dialectic. She tackles the theme of iconographic reinterpretation of the classics of our western culture, but very recently also very inspired by nature, she also speaks the language of landscape.
