Figurative inkwell, Iran qâjâr, early 20th century Globular inkwell with hinged cover and bulbous socket, resting on a small circular concave circular tray with truncated cone-shaped base. In copper alloy with engraved decoration of compartments compartments with hares on the lid, and medallions with figures, animals or fantastic creatures on the receptacle and on the tray edged with friezes of bifid palmettes. D. 15.5 cm; H. 10 cm Some traces of oxidation, hinge pin removed from its axis.
