EMPIRE] GREAT SEAL OF THE TITLES OF NAPOLEON 1ST BRENET Nicolas-Guy-Antoine (Paris, in 1773 - Paris, in 1846), engraver. Between 1804 and 1815 Red wax, yellow silk ribbon. Diameter : 12.2 cm Depth : 1 cm Legend - On the right circular : "NAPOLEON EMPEROR OF THE FRENCH (finial)" ; on the reverse circular : "NAPOLEON EMPEROR OF THE FRENCH KING OF ITALY PROTECTOR OF THE CONFEDERATION OF THE RHINE (finial) Signature - On the right under the base: "BRENET FECIT DENON DIREXIT". Napoleon I seated on a curule chair, a long scepter with a figure in the right hand and a long hand of justice in the left hand, on a canopy topped by a crown; on the reverse: Imperial eagle on a thunderbolt, surrounded by the collar of the Legion of Honor, placed on a scepter and a hand of justice in saltire and topped by a crowned helmet. The whole on a canopy of ermine and fleur-de-lis topped with a ribbon. Breakage, accidents and missing parts.
