Diana François
Born in 1903 in the Saint-Mauront district of Marseilles, François Diana was one of the pre-war Marseilles artistic groups.
Extremely active and committed, he participated in the creation of the first Maison de la Culture. Professor at the School of Fine Arts, he established himself as one of the major figures of the painters of the Péano and the Quai Rive Neuve. With his friends Serra, Ambrogiani and Toncini, he exhibited at Detaille and Galerie Jouvène.
His works can be found in the public collections of museums: in Cantini and at the Musée d'histoire de Marseille, in Narbonne, in Bordeaux and at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow.
